One more day until the NFL Draft…
In other news, the Giants opened their facility to players yesterday. Only three managed to show….there is mass confusion abound in this current labor climate. Is the lockout lifted, or not..?
from our colleague at the WSJ, Aditi Kinkhabwala….
One day after federal judge Susan Nelson issued a ruling lifting the lockout the NFL’s owners had imposed on the players, only one thing was clear: nobody had any idea what on Earth is supposed to happen next. Rather than giving us a proper strike, one with picket signs and giant rats and daily sidewalk press conferences, the NFL has produced the sort of labor battle only a lawyer could love……Some players didn’t know if they could use the team’s workout facilities. Coaches didn’t know if they could actually greet their players. Agents were basically useless and reporters were reduced to standing around and keeping score….
Chris Canty came to work yesterday as did Brandon Jacobs and Mario Manningham. Canty was permitted to work out, but the others were not. The Giants reportedly will allow players into TPC, but will limit their activities going forward.

I know many of our readers disagree with my advocacy for Giants OC Kevin Gilbride and want to see the team part ways with him. Just keep in mind that you can all consider yourself in the Buddy Ryan school of thought.

And, they might even discover how to reach that game without having to do it the hard way.
For the second straight year however, an end to the Jets’ long Super Bowl drought wasn’t meant to be.

The New York Jets don’t just talk trash like some teams. No, for them, it’s done in such a bold and brash manner, it’s more like “brash-talking.”
And, when you do as much “brash-talking” as the New York Jets have done, it sometimes takes shocking the football world to back it up.
The Jets (13-5) did just that on Sunday, with the biggest turnaround (49 points) from the regular season to the postseason, against the same opponent, in the same year, in NFL history.
Making it much bigger?
