The Giants have lost without RB Ahmad Bradshaw. In his absence, the Giants have lost three of four and they have plummeted to the bottom of the league in rushing.
With the Packers invading MetLife Stadium this Sunday, the Injury-riddled Giants will need everyone and anyone that can help.
Bradshaw, who last played in the victory over Miami on October 30, has been battling to overcome a fractured bone in his foot. He says if he can withstand the pain Sunday, he’ll be out there…
“It’s a bone, and I’m just trying to let it heal,” Bradshaw told Dan Salamone of Giants.com. “All it is is just dealing with the pain. If I can deal with the pain in the game, then I’ll be fine.”
But that is a major obstacle. He has not been pain-free enough to even begin practicing. In Giantland if you don’t practice, you usually don’t play. Plus, he doesn’t neat to come back too early and worsen his condition.
“I don’t want to get out and play and sit out the next game, I don’t want to do it that way. I want to play the rest of the year.”
Bradshaw knows this game is integral on several levels. Jobs and livelihoods are at stake in the next two weeks. He may just suck it up and strap on the pads.
“I feel good and I’m planning on playing.”

Mike Garafolo is reporting that RB Ahmad Bradshaw has a cracked bone in his foot and could miss Sunday’s game vs New England and beyond.
The injury is to Bradshaw’s right foot. He has had issues and screws inserted over time in each foot.
Bradshaw has played with a similar condition in the past, but it got progressively worse as the season wore on.

Some quick hits from Tuesday…
Giants’ RB Ahmad Bradshaw has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Buffalo Sunday….
- Bradshaw rushed for 104 yards and a career-high three touchdowns in the Giants’ 27-24 victory over Buffalo.
- Scored all three of New York’s touchdowns against the Bills, registering a one-yard rushing TD in each of the first three quarters.
- Broke free for a 30-yard run in the fourth quarter, his longest of the day, to help set up Lawrence Tynes’ game-winning 23-yard field goal with 1:32 remaining.
- Accounted for 26 of the Giants’ 31 rushing attempts (excluding kneel downs).
- Leads the Giants with 390 rushing yards and five touchdowns this season.
- In his fifth season from Marshall, this is Bradshaw’s second career Offensive Player of the Week Award (Week 4, 2010).
- He is the second Giant to be honored this season (Eli Manning, Week 3)
WR Ramses Barden, who has been on PUP since August, says he is going to play in the Giants’ next game vs the Dolphins Oct 30th:
“Mentally, I plan on playing. I plan on being in the game plan and I plan on contributing in whatever way the team sees necessary. I can’t wait. By the time next week comes around, it would have been 11 ½ months.”
The Giants have a few days off, and here is what some of them plan to do on their “vacation.” MORE
The Philadelphia Eagles, who acquired the running back Ronnie Brown in August, traded him to the Detroit Lions today. In return, the Eagles obtained running back Jerome Harrison and a 2013 seventh-round draft pick. MORE

from Andrew Lontos of charged.fm….
The Giants have been using multiple running backs, but one of them is far better than the others. Is it a coincidence that Big Blue’s ground game excelled when Brandon Jacobs was out and Bradshaw got over 20 carries?
I think not.
Now, it’s obviously not all Jacobs’ fault that the running game wasn’t performing. And Bradshaw is far from perfect; he struggled last game without Jacobs. The new faces and injuries to the offensive line are more important than the backs who line up behind them.
During the broadcast Sunday, Phil Simms actually said, “Brandon Jacobs hurt might even be a blessing”.
Why? Because he knows how good Bradshaw is.

The Giants rely on their running game to wear down defenses down. Without Brandon Jacobs and the offensive line struggling due to injury, the team turned to RB Ahmad Bradshaw to carry them on his back against the Bills, who have been pedestrian against the run this season.
He did. With 104 yards rushing and three one-yard TD dives, Bradshaw had his best day as a Giant, rivaling his 2007 breakout game which was also against Buffalo.
Bradshaw was especially candid in his post game presser after logging in the first 100-yard performance by a Giant this season…

This is no breaking newsflash.
The Giants ineffectiveness to run the ball has severely hampered their ability to dictate tempo in games and it has to change.
Brandon Jacobs’ injury has only heightened the shortcomings of the running game. His status for Sunday is very much in doubt.
So, once again, Ahmad Bradshaw will likely shoulder the load.
Bradshaw has had a rough season thus far, only rushing for 286 yards on 72 carries and has yet to rush for 100-yards in a game.
However, Bradshaw has confidence that the run game will get going and is not worried that he has to carry the load.

The NY Giants offensive woes continue.
Before kick off on Sunday the New York Giants ranked #13 in passing offense; however 3rd in the their own division. The rushing offense gets worse. The Giants were ranked 24th in the NFL and 3rd in the NFC East. After Sunday’s loss to Seattle running the ball continues to be a problem.
The tough, durable and productive offensive line that the Giants have had since 2005 has all but disappeared. Ahmad Bradshaw the featured back in the Giants’ offense has not had a 100 yard rushing game this season and only 1 game over 60 yards.
New acquired center David Baas is hurt with a neck injury that has become day to day and Pro Bowl Guard Chris Snee was sent to the hospital for observations after receiving a concussion during the Giants last drive. This will certainly cripple the Giants O line as the face a re-surging and emotional Buffalo Bills team.

The Giants are normally at the top of the league in rushing offense and yards per attempt. But this is not a normal year. Through four games, the Giants rank 24th in the NFL in rushing averaging only 87.5 yards per game on the ground.
In the days of Earth, Wind and Fire the team boasted around five yards a carry for several seasons. Those days seem long gone now as the team is only gaining 3.3 yards per attempt in 2011.
Currently, there is no Wind or Fire, just Earth – as in down to earth. They have literally been nothing more than three yards and cloud of rubber pellets.
The reasons? There are a few. The Giants have a retooled offensive line, featuring a new center (David Baas), that has not fired off the ball as well as their historic predecessors. They also have a rookie fullback (Henry Hynoski) and a green TE (Jake Ballard) in their lineup this year. In addition, as good as their wideouts are, they don’t block very well and have problems sealing off the corners.
It also could be that they abandon the run too soon in favor of the pass. And why shouldn’t they? Eli Manning is lighting it up through the air.
RB Ahmad Bradshaw isn’t concerned. He thinks the Giants will have to turn to the run game sooner rather than later and that old rhythm will return.
“We haven’t had the right touches and that is just the way the game goes,” said Bradahaw. “We have had to open up our passing game with a lot of opponents and I think the running game is fine where it is at. It will be great once we get the amount of touches we expect in later games.”
With Brandon Jacobs uncertain with a swollen knee this week, the Giants may finally turn to explosive rookie Da’Rel Scott, but he’ll have to leapfrog perennial disappointment Danny Ware first.
Scott is a home run hitter that can boost that yards per carry average up in a hurry. But the Giants don’t seem to be in a hurry. Scott has been inactive for the first four games. Let’s hope that changes soon…

What do Giant fans have to look forward to on Monday night?
Lets get behind the numbers. For starters, I don’t think anyone in the NFL would say that the Eagles pass rush is better than the New York Giants and if Justin Tuck plays it’s no contest.
The Eagles has 5 sacks and 11 QB hits in last weeks game. You could expect Kiwi, Tolley and JPP to match those numbers and it wouldn’t surprise me to see a safety or corner blitz thrown in a handful of times.
The Rams receivers also had 6 dropped passes. That is not going to help you win any games in NFL. I would expect Rolle and Webster to be active around the ball looking for one of those drops to stick to a blue shirt.
On the other side of the ball the Rams gave up 237 yards rushing to McCoy & Vick. With Jackson out early Cadillac Williams put up 91 yards. One would expect that Bradshaw and Jacobs could have an equally good day if Gilbride doesn’t abandon the run as he did against the Redskins.
And as much as I love Fred Robbins, the former Giants Defensive Tackle, Da’Rel Scott would blow past the Rams defensive front if Gilbride ever decided to reinstate Earth, Wind and Fire!
The Eagles were 8 for 12 on 3rd down conversions. Maybe this game is exactly what the doctor ordered to restore some confidence for the New York Giants who were down right miserable on 3rd down last week.

Giants’ RB Ahmad Bradshaw has always had some sort of ailment: a foot, an ankle, a wrist etc. He’s played through it all, only missing two games in the past three seasons.
This year, the newly-signed tailback is feeling the best he’s ever felt and plans to expand on his 1,235 yard-rushing / 8 TD performance last season in which -as the the featured back – carried ball 276 times for an average of 4.5 per carry.
He also had ankle and wrist injuries, the latter causing him to fumble a league-leading seven times in losing his starting status to best friend Brandon Jacobs.
This year will be different. Bradshaw signed a four-year, $18 million deal to stay with the Giants, which was facilitated by Jacobs’ willingness to take a pay decrease. The two will share duties again in the Giants’ backfield this season, but Bradshaw aims to top his 2010 production even in the face of less carries.
The explosive 25-year-old, in his fifth season out of Marshall, met with the media at TIMEX this afternoon….
