Well this was bound to happen, but it’s still a bit disappointing as a Giants fan. I was still holding out hope that Jerry Jones might somehow decide to bring Phillips back next season.

I don’t know much about Whitehurst, but Hasselbeck is not a very mobile quarterback. The fact that he was sacked eight times by the Raiders makes me believe that Perry Fewell is salivating at the matchup.

Obviously it’s tough. We kind of knew it was heading that way but until it happens, you never really think about it. He’s a huge talent and he’s going to be missed. Again, you just have to continue doing what we’ve done. Somebody is going to have to step up and try to fill that void. It’s a huge void, and right now we just wish him all the best in his recovery. We hope to get him back next year.
