The Giants added a few more undrafted free agents to their roster. S Nehemiah Warrick of Michigan State, DE Antonio Reynolds of Tennessee, OT Dylan Thiry of Northwestern, OT Carnell Stewart of LSU, and OL Andrew Bain of Miami, Fla.
Warrick is rated among the nation’s top strong safeties (No. 26) by Phil Steele’s College Football Preview and was the fourth-team All-Big Ten selection by Phil Steele’s College Football Preview.
Reynolds had 31 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks and 1 interception which he returned 70 yards for a touchdown in 2007. In 2006 had 37 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 1 sack.
Thiry is a tall lineman who was named to CollegeFootballNews.com preseason All-Big Ten team (second team). He was NU’s Thomas Airth Spirit Award recipient. He helped NU become one of the nation’s top offenses, and the Big Ten’s top passing attack. NU led the Big Ten (regular season) in total offense (427.7 ypg).
Carnell Stewart is a large blocker who works best in pass protection. He blocks well and is patient, keeping his feet moving. He lacks lateral blocking range and sets with a narrow base which tends to get him pushed off the line.
Andrew Bain is a huge senior offensive lineman who started at left guard in 2006. He’s a good run blocker and can be a exceptional as a pulling guard or on trap plays. He can also play offensive tackle.
