Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger reports that the Giants have signed recently released defensive end Jerome McDougle, formerly of the Eagles. McDougle was the Eagles first-round draft pick in 2003 but has only recorded three sacks in his career. The Giants released defensive tackle Rodney Leisle to make room for McDougle.

They have also added seven players to their practice squad. Quarterback Andre’ Woodson, cornerback Geoffrey Pope, offensive lineman Na’Shan Goddard, offensive lineman Kurt Quarterman, defensive tackle Jeremy Clark, wide receiver Marcus Monk and defensive end Wallace Gilberry. Garafolo noted that wide receiver Brandon London was expected to be the eighth man added, but he was claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins before the Giants were able to get a chance to sign him.

Lastly, cornerback Terrell Thomas has changed his jersey number from 30 to 24.
