According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.com, the Falcons have reached an agreement in principle that will send cornerback DeAngelo Hall to the Raiders for their second-round pick in 2008 draft, pending the Raiders finalizing a contract with Hall. He is close to agreeing to a contract with the Raiders that will pay him just below what Asante Samuel signed with the Eagles, which was a six-year, $57 million deal with $20 million guaranteed.

Hall, 24, was drafted 8th overall by the Falcons in 2003 and has recorded 17 interceptions over four seasons in Atlanta.

Update - 8:23 p.m. - The Atlanta Journal-Constitution quotes Hall, who is denying that he has been traded to Oakland and that “somebody’s throwing something out there.”
