Speaking with the media, Giants general manager Jerry Reese stated that he doubts the team will head into training camp with five quarterbacks on the roster.

One of Anthony Wright or Jared Lorenzen will likely be the odd man out.

He also stated that the team believes linebacker Jonathan Goff will be used on the inside, while Bryan Kehl is capable of playing either strongside linebacker or weakside linebacker. Kehl will contribute on special teams right away.

Finally, Reese stated that the team may not have to sign that many undrafted free agents.

Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports that Jared Lorenzen has signed the one-year tender offer given to him by the Giants in February. He was tendered at the low amount of $927,000.

He joins David Carr and Anthony Wright who will battle it out for two of the backup quarterback positions on the team.

Lorenzen, 27, completed 4 of his 8 passes last season for 28 yards. Those are his only regular-season passes in his three years in the league.

The Giants have also made a second-round tender offer to safety James Butler, but he has not yet signed it.
