Rex Ryan: We’re the best in New York

“I’m not backing down from one comment,” Ryan said. “I believe we are the best team in New York. My goal is to be the best team in the National Football League, not just in New York. I’m not backing down one bit from that statement. I believe that will be the case.”

Ryan can’t resist the trash talk.

I laugh at his comments as usual. He talks so much trash but has not gotten anywhere. Until I see a Lombardi Trophy in his hands he should shut his fat mouth and have a few salads. This will always be GIANTS town!!

In fairness, this was in response to Tuck’s statement.

TwoGee in fairness Rex always talks smack and needs to stop. Tuck can talk because he is wearing a shiny piece of hardware on his hand.

This guy has no idea what the position of head coach is.  Tuck makes a simple remark about how, in his mind, it will always be Giants Stadium which had nothing to do with the Jets.  But Ryan has to open his mouth because he just can’t help his compulsive nature (see disgustingly obese physique) and has to respond even though it has nothing to do with him or his team.  I don’t disagree that the Jets may be the better team right now, we will see.  The Giants haven’t been able to get out of their own way the last 3 years and have suffered maddening injuries and gun-wounds that have sabotaged their chances.  The Jets have been relatively healthy and had one fluke run to the AFC Championship game and one solid run.  The thing is, as always, it is the Jet players and management that are yapping away which is an obvious sign of their inferiority complex.  Having said that, it could be a long season for the Giants, regardless of the name on the Stadium.
