That DOOSHBAG tiki!!!???? What about Mark Bavaro and Thomas “Pepper” Johnson??? WHAT A TRAVESTY….I’m digusted!!!!

    • John Fennelly

Those guys will get in at some point…but BVP was the only player of worth this team had in the early-mid 70′s

  • FUDGETKE

No JOE MORRIS either… Who made this “ring” the jets????

  • che4evr

ditto bvp. and bavaro. maybe pepper johnson. but no carl banks?!?

  • lg60

George Martin is one of the finest and classiest – always was. But if he’s there, how can they not put Leonard Marshall; other other side of that D-line.

Plus it’s not complete without Bavaro and Morrison.

    • John Fennelly

Just to be clear, Joe Morrison is in. Joe Morris is not

Guys who shulda been there: Jim Patton, Jim Katcavage, Roosevelt Grier, Del Shofner, Alex Webster, Dick Modzelewski, Allie Sherman, Fran Tarkenton

    • John Fennelly

Jimmy Patton should definitely be there. Shofner, Webster, Katcavage, Grier and Modzelewski were probably close and are going to get the nod at some point. Tarkenton shd be there, in my opinion, but his success with Minnesota really makes him a Viking first, so the Giants will wait on him.

There are three that stick out in my mind – Brad Van Pelt, Spider Lockhart and Carl Banks that shd also be up there.

Sherman will never be honored. He is largely considered the person that destroyed the Giants in the 60′s, sending into NFL oblivion for two decades….

Don’t forget Mendenhall and Tucker on those weak teams in the lean years.
Ring of Honor: Bravaro, Kyle Rote, Joe Morris (remember how short the running backs’ lives are), Jimmy Patton, Spider Lockhart, Ward Cuff in the old A-Formation, and Jack Lummus, Medal of Honor.
