Giants Wisely Pass On Leinart

They Don’t Need Another Project, They Need A Veteran

According to sources the Arizona Cardinals did contact the New York Giants regarding the services of one Matt Leinart.  The Giants are obviously not interested in trading for Leinart, who is expected by many to be cut by Arizona on Saturday.

Even as a free agent, Leinart is not an attractive choice. The Giants have their young project in Rhett Bomar, they don’t need another one.  They need a veteran backup.

    I’ve read that…the reason why the Giants haven’t responded is because they’re not working today. Everyone is at the Kickoff Luncheon.

    From what I understand, and many of the beat writers such as Paul Schwartz, Paul Dottino and Ralph Vacchiano are saying the same thing..the Giants are not interested in trading foe Leinart. He adds no value, especially in this part of the country..

    If SF drops Carr, they WOULD be interested

    I couldn’t agree more… Kerry Collins or Carr would make me feel a whole lot better about our backup QB situation. Lienart would be a terrible signing.
