In a somewhat surprising depth chart decision, the Giants have demoted both DE Osi Umenyiora and DT Fred Robbins to the second team.

As much as I love Osi, I can’t say this isn’t a bad move. First of all, just because he’s not starting doesn’t mean he won’t get significant PT. Osi will still get his reps on sure pass situations and Robbins will definitely get in when he needs to be as well.

Look at the Jets. they benched Kerry Rhodes two weeks ago, and in that game he ended up with two interceptions.

Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News writes of five memorable matchups between the Giants and Cowboys.

Michael Vaccaro of the New York Post on the Giants “Playing for Pride.”

Read about the similarities between the new Cowboys stadium and the eventual new home of the New York Giants. The new home base in East Rutherford is expected to be as state of the art as any come 2010.

Good news: Ahmad Bradshaw‘s ankle feels “10 times better than it did two days ago.”
