Boley Named Top NFC Defender

By John Fennelly on Nov 24, 2009, 8:41 pm

According to the Giants, OLB Michael Boley was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week based on his performance vs his old team – the Falcons – last Sunday.

Boley had 13 tackles – two behind the line for losses and two hits on QB Matt Ryan.

I have not seen an official announcement from the NFL on this as of yet……

Boley is quickly becoming one of my favorite Giants. So nice to see a linebacker with speed, who can cover, and has a nose for the football. It’s been awhile…

Absolutely John! I love watching Boley fly from sideline to sideline. With the recent injury to Antonio, and his final contract year coming, I am eager to see where the G-Men go for middle linebacker.

I think Barrett Ruud in Tampa Bay, is someone the giants need to look at. Hes been in the top 3 in tackles the last few seasons and is ALL over the field. Hes only 26 years old too. He is the premiere free agent linebacker next season, besides maybe shawne merriman
