PostGame: Giants 34 Atlanta 31 F/OT

by Rich Resch on November 22nd, 2009 at 4:43 pm

The Giants defeated the Falcons by a score of 34 to 31 in overtime.

- Lawrence Tynes hit the game winning 36-yard field goal on the first possession of overtime.

- Eli Manning had a career high 384 yards and added three touchdowns.

- Mario Manningham was a force, catching six passes for 126 yards, including a huge reception in overtime.  He had a couple of great Amani Toomer-like catches along the sideline.

- Kevin Boss caught five passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns.

An exciting win, but the cracks in the defense are more clear than ever.  They could do nothing on third downs, and they let the Falcons back into a game that should have been over mid-way through the fourth quarter.

The Giants have a short week ahead, as they will travel to Denver to face the Broncos on Thanksgiving night.
