snowmanrt - your idea isn't bad, but it's just not gonna happen yet. Ross has simply not had enough time to adjust to the position, as noted in Coughlins qoute, so at the very least they will need CC as a backup. Often times when watching a player get torched (like cc did) we resort to the phrase "it can't be worse" when shockingly it can. Give ross some time and rouse a chance, my vote is to put dockery on the inactives (he has now forced 1 fumble, on his own team, and run into a returner trying to call a fair catch in the last two games. He has struggled, but if Ross is not 100% he may sit one more.....we will soon see.

Here is an idea for the last inactive spot, C.C. Brown. If Ross is able to go and has been practicing at Safety then why not let him play it if something happens to Rouse this week. Even having only a couple of days playing the position he can't possibly be any worse than Brown. Plus, if the game ends up getting out of hand (either way but preferably because we are destroying them), then Ross could come in and get some actual in-game experience at safety during garbage time. However, if they decide Ross is just not good to go, then by all means keep him inactive.
