As Healthy as Ever

by David Jacks on November 19th, 2009 at 4:09 pm

After their bye week the Giants are as healthy as they are going to get. CB Aaron Ross has practiced 4 straight days (on a limited basis) but is rearing to go. “I feel really good today, happy to be out there, so I’m excited,” Ross said. “If I’m healthy all the way up until Sunday, I’ll be out there.” Justin Tuck is hopeful to rid himself of the brace he is wearing to protect his torn Labrum (do not think that playing with one arm has not affected the QB eater). Chris Canty is practicing on a regular basis, along with fellow free agent Michael Boley (who happens to be playing the team that let him go as a free agent) and Ahmad Bradshaw was a go at practice today. The Giants are in tact (other then the season ending injuries to Phillips and Alford, which have not affected them at all – sarcasm) while many teams, including the Falcons, Broncos and Eagles deal with injuries to key players (Westbrook, Turner, Orton, Norwood, White). There are no excuses going forward.

Sidebar – According to ESPN, Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride could be a candidate to be the next coach of the Buffalo Bills. A vacancy was created yesterday when the Bills fired head coach Dick Jauron.

I imagine this is making several Giants fans rejoice. Personally I think Gilbride has always had excellent offenses, statistically, but no doubt he has struggled in the red zone. According to sources Shannahan is also a candidate, clearly Mike is higher on the chain the Gilbride.
