Philadelphia Eagles: The injury troubles of RB Brian Westbrook never seem to end. Head coach Andy Reid said it was his recurring concussion symptoms over the last half of last week that kept him out of the game however it is not only his head that is keeping him sidelined.
Reid said today that it wasn’t the concussion symptoms that kept Westbrook out of practice on Friday, but was an ankle injury. Reid is unsure whether or not Westbrook will return to practice on Wednesday because of the ailing foot.
And the Eagles aren’t sure if they’re ever going to have Westbrook back at 100% period.
Dallas Cowboys: Everyone’s happy in Dallas following their 20-16 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. One person a little happier than he was in weeks past is WR Roy Williams who was targeted 8 times in the game. Williams ended the day with 5
catches for 75 yards, including three first downs while the new guy Miles Austin received a little less work. (even though he ended up scoring the game winning TD)
Owner Jerry Jones believes the chemistry between Williams and QB Tony Romo will only get better.
Say what you want about Jerry Jones but as far as this year goes, I’m real impressed with the way he’s had his players’ and coaches’ backs.
Washington Redskins: More injuries for the Redskins. OL Mike Williams, who has started the last four weeks is out for the next 2-4 with a torn ligament in his leg. Safety Chris Horton is out at least 4-6 weeks with a damaged ligament in his left toe and
starting RB Clinton Portis is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game after sustaining a helmet-to-helmet hit in this past Sunday’s loss.
Portis left the game with a concussion.
It can’t get much worse…
