Read: Giants Lost, Redskins Add to Embarrasement

The Giants lost today, but it was to a good team. Some may even say the best team in the NFL. We didn’t look good on offense, not on defense, not even on special teams. The defensive line couldn’t get to Brees if their lives depended on it, and as a result, the secondary struggled to keep any of the wide receivers (or Shockey) blanketed for a maintained period of time.

On offense, Jacobs still struggles to get the wheels going and Eli could only do so much. Although the Giants were beat, you got to hand it to Brees’ Saints. The three-pronged attack of Pierre Thomas, Mike Bell, and the now 3rd-string RB Reggie Bush seemed to have worked to a T. With a running game like that, there’s no way to guard against all the weapons this Saints offense has.

The only other action from the 1 O’clocks in the NFC east features the Washington Redskins and yet another matchup against a currently winless team. The Kansas City Chiefs, who many experts said going into this game are better than their record shows, beat Washington today in one of the uglier games i’ve observed.

You know it can’t be going to well when your starting QB gets benched to start the 2nd half. That’s exactly what happened with Washington and Jason Campbell.

Man, I really don’t know what happened to this guy. I remember watching him during some of last season and the season before, and although he was never fully there, I thought one day that he would show some real quality quarterback ability. This guy just can’t get it together, and it seems his time may have just run out to try and figure it out.

Although the defense held KC to only 14 points, and Portis got it going today on the ground, rushing for 104, the ‘Skins still just could not do what should be considered a shoe-in game for most NFL teams.

I think it’s 100% safe to say….The Redskins are bad.
