Read: NFC East, One Winner, One Loser
There were two early games today in the NFC East which had the Redskins taking on the Rams and the McNabb-less Eagles up against the Saints.
The Eagles game is still in progress…but it’s just about over. The Saints lead 41-22 at the 2-minute warning as Kevin Kolb and the Eagles look to become 1-1
I can’t even blame this loss on not having McNabb or foolishly starting Kolb over Garcia. The Saints offesns and Drew Brees was just way too much for the birds today.
Brees has thrown for over 300 yards and 3 TD’s in the game.
Kolb, also pretty resepectable numbers with 359 yards passing combined with 2 TD’s and 2 INT’s.
Over at FedEx Field, Washington only needed 3 Shaun Suisham field goals to seal the deal against the Rams. New head coach Steve Spagnuolo had the defense working today, but Mark Bulger and the offense still need a little help.
I hate to say it, but Bulger’s days have to be pretty much behind him. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt with the past few seasons because of the disparity of talent around him, but it’s hard to continue to back this guy up.
Man…if Bradford didn’t get hurt, I’d already be projecting him 1st overall to the Rams.
With a win tonight, the Gmen will have sole possession of 1st place in the division…(kinda got a nice ring to it)
