Blog: Andre’ Woodson
In the Newark Star-Ledger’s daily New York Giants Summer questionnaire by Mike Garafolo, Andre’ Woodson was interviewed and had comments about the upcoming competition about the third string QB job.
“I’ll keep doing a lot of jump rope and things to get my footwork down. And continue to just go through the playbook to try to get the best understanding of everything heading into training camp. I’m really not going to relax too much during this break because I know I don’t have that leeway to do anything like that. I have to keep working and understand how important training camp will be for me,” said Woodson when asked about his break before training camp.
It seems as though Woodson knows this training camp/pre-season is not going to be a walk in the park. He said he knows he needs to perform better than he did last year as a rookie…and he’s right. Remember, Bomar was no slouch in college, and I’m not saying Woodson was, but he definitely has a little more competition than he probably anticipated.
I’m personally excited to see what transpires between the two of these guys in training camp and as the preseason progesses. By the end of the third game, we should know who will beat out who for the job.
Note: Training camp is just a little more than two weeks away. (just thought i’d throw that out there)
