Read: Supplemental Draft
In case you didn’t know, today at 1:00 P.M., the 2009 Supplemental draft will take place.
The Sporting News has an explanation on how the supplemental draft works, describing it as a “silent e-mail auction.”
Here’s a list of the eight players available:
Blake Boyd, LB, Western Kentucky
Jeremy Jarmon, DE, Kentucky
Torris Magee, WR, Southern Miss
Dixon McKinner, DE, Texas Tech
Joe McMahon, G, Central Michigan
Demetrice Morley, S, Tennessee
Deon Murphy, WR, Kansas State
Corey Surrency, WR, Florida State
I don’t really see the Giants going after any of these guys, I think the roster is pretty set. They definitely do not need another young WR; Perhaps Jarmon from Kentucky (who I watched play and was pretty impressed) would be useful as a little extra depth at the DE position…but that’s it.
