cowboys-stadiumDallas Cowboys: On Friday, the Cowboys opened up the new Cowboys Stadium to the public. Over 10,000 people came to the stadium to check out the new digs…except only a few hundred of them were Cowboys fans. Everybody else was just looking to make it on the next American Idol!

Jeff Caplan of Star-Telegram.com has the story here..

Philadelphia Eagles: Mark Eckel of NJ.com analyzes the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line for the upcoming season writing, “You know you’re doing well when you can let your two starting tackles — both of whom have gone to a Pro Bowl — leave and get better at the position.”

philadelphia-eagles-logo1The players Eckel is referring to are former LT Tra’ Thomas and RT Jon Runyan. Thomas, who has signed with Jacksonville is being replaced by another pro bowler, Jason Peters, who is seven years younger than the aging Thomas.

Runyan on the other hand has yet to be signed and is just coming off surgery on his knee. He is being replaced at RT by former teammate Shawn Andrews as the Eagles signed older brother Stacy to play at the RG position.

with the signing of Andrews and Peters, the Eagles not only brought in quality players to replace the ones they had to let go, but reduced the average age of their line from 30 to 27. Adding quality and youth…I would say a pretty good off-season for the Eagles and their offensive line.
