in an article for the New York Daily News, Jon Wiener reports on NFL players who attended NFL Broadcast Boot Camp last week in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Of the 24 players in attendance was Giants linebacker Danny Clark.
The rest of the story can be read here, and includes some pretty funny bloopers with Patriots offensive lineman Matt Light and Raiders wide receiver Drew Carter.
Take Clark’s little broadcast boot camp experiment with a grain of salt. Clark indicated that he still has enough left in the tank, telling the Newark Star-Ledger’s Mike Garafolo, “I’ll be doing broadcast boot camp at NFL Films in Mt. Laurel with some of the best guys in the business to try to set up my next job five-plus years in the future.”
“five-plus years in the future.” Since when do players start preparing for life after the NFL five or more years in advance? Ex-Giant WR Joe Jurevicius was in attendance as well…and I got a feeling this career path is less than five years away for him.
In his first season with the Giants in 2008, Clark put up pretty good numbers, posting 70 tackles and two forced fumbles.
