According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, the Giants have signed sixth-round draft choice DeAndre Wright to a four-year, $1.6 million deal that could be worth a maximum of $4 million if escalators and incentive based bonuses are reached.
Wright was the 200th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft and was selected out of New Mexico. A second-team All-Mountain West selection, Wright had 10 career interceptions and 25 pass breakups for the Lobos.
Vacchiano is also reporting that the team released defensive tackle Dwayne Hendricks to make room for Wright and that the team is close to signing seventh-round pick, defensive back Stoney Woodson.
