Video: Connor Barwin

Cincinnati defensive end Connor Barwin is capable of playing tight end, defensive end or outside linebacker. He was even a walk on for the Bearcat basketball team who he helped out when they lost several players due to injury.

Barwin is 6’ 4” 252 pounds and as a junior was a standout at the tight end rotation. He played in 12 games and recorded 31 receptions for 399 yards and two touchdowns.

Last year, as a senior, he was put at defensive end and he seem to find his calling. His instincts are superb, and is very quick off the line. He’s fast in open space as well, able to drop back in pass coverage.

In his first 11 games at DE he had recorded 46 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. He also has 6 pass break-ups, 4 QB hurries and 3 blocked punts/kicks. Against Pitt he had a huge game recording 3 sacks and 3 tackles for loss.

He projects to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick because he’s still new to the DE position but has unlimited potential.
