Former Giant Free Agents

Update 10pm ET - Fox Denver is reporting that James Butler has signed with the St Louis Rams for 4 years and 14 million dollars. According to the report Butler can earn up to 3 million in incentives.

Bottom line the GMEN were never really considering bringing Butler back so congrats to James. Butler was a sound, coachable safety but left something to be desired in the speed category.

Original Post – The St Louis Dispatch is reporting that the Rams have offered James Butler a deal. The deal is believed to be significantly less then the contracts given to fellow safety free agents Yeremiah Bell and Gibril Wilson.

This isn’t really shocking considering Butler isn’t close to the caliber of Bell or Wilson, also the Rams are hamstrung with only 2.8 million of cap space .

The Washington Times is reporting that DE Reynaldo Wynn is talking to the Washington Redskins about a possible return.

Wynn hangs around because he is smart and always in great shape but with the additions of Canty and “Yo Adrian” the Giants won’t feel this anymore then a rhino feels a titmouse (yep…. a titmouse).
