Cowboys Release TO

By Rich Resch on Mar 05, 2009, 12:04 am

Terrell OwensESPN has just reported that, according to two sources, the Dallas Cowboys have released wide receiver Terrell Owens.

There is no word on whether or not he had his popcorn ready.

There had been rumors about this for a while, but I did not think that they would ever come to fruition. I do not expect, nor do I want the Giants to be interested in bringing in Team Obliterater.

Rich you beat me to this post by three minutes…here is what I said about TO’s release.

Despite the Giants obvious need for a playmaking wideout do not expect Owens to meet with them any time soon. It’s a rarity when you actually have to remove a players stats from his profile, but TO is the exception to the rule. Reese will most likely stick to Boldin/ Braylon or draft picks alone. That last line lead to my next post.

Surprised they did it. Never thought Jerry Jones would suck up his pride/ego and admit he was wrong. Cowboys will be better off without him. Man destroys every team he’s on. The talent aint worth it.

As for the Giants, let’s not even start like the team will have any interest. He goes against everything our team concept is all about. Moreover, let’s not forget our coach is Tom Coughlin, who would only be a phone call away from his mentor/friend Bill Parcells, who couldnt stand TO in Dallas.
