I went to Clemson, so I have to throw this out there.....watch out for Aaron Kelly. The kid is one of the top WR in ACC history, but coming from a rush oriented offense, so you don't hear a whole lot about him.

Thanks for the comment. I think he'll go around the third round, which is now the second day. Goodell changed the first day of the draft so that it is only two rounds.

Thanks for the comments.

It's still very early to guess which position we'll go after in the first round, and a lot of it might depend on who is available and whether we sign any FAs (which also depends on who gets franchised). We might be able to make a better prediction after the combine, but history tells us that there will be some unforeseen curve balls to mess everything up. Who knows, we may end up drafting a defensive lineman in the first round again.

If I had to make a guess, I'd say LB in the first round (Clint Stintim would be nice) and WR in the 2nd (Britt or Hicks, maybe?). But my guess is as good as anyones right now.

hmmm interesting...i agree i'd like to see Heyward-Bey get picked by us, I just figured he might not drop down to our pick...

you think they will take a LB or WR in the 1dt round? I would think whatever they take first, the other position they would do 2nd as most of the mock drafts have them doing

thanks for writing back and providing those links too!

Coughlin and the Giants are as good a team/coach as any for a young player with attitude problems, but at what point do you limit the players with character issues? You don't want the locker room to be taken over with these personalities like the Dallas locker room. If you bring back Burress and draft Britt, they form a trio with Manningham of players who have had documented attitude problems at a position known for prima donnas. Not that I think the Giants' locker room will ever resemble this year's Cowboys disaster, but it's something to think about before drafting Britt.

I would prefer they go after Heyward-Bey (I went to Maryland and got to watch him play for two years so I may be biased). I like his skill set and positive attitude. Most of the mock drafts I've seen have him being off the board before we pick however, with Britt available for our first second round pick.

Bradshaw did fall due to worries about his attitude, but he also had a couple run-ins with the law, including stealing a Playstation game from a dorm room. As far as I know, Britt has never had any legal trouble; he is just thought to be a prima donna. I could see him falling a bit if he runs a slow 40-yard dash. The same thing happened to Anquan Boldin when he ran a 4.7 40, and he fell to the end of the 2nd round.

thanks rich!

hmm...seems like he's got all the potential in the world and just needs maybe the right environment to adopt the right attitude...

do you think the giants and coughlin are a good fit to "fix" his attitude?

if i am not mistaken, and correct me if i am wrong, didn't bradshaw's value drop a lot b/c of his "attitude"? i'd say he's adapted a pretty decent one now...

what are your thoughts?

that's a really good point!
i didn't think about that...that would be interesting...and really work out in our favor...if plax can come back, pick up another guy like him in the draft, with hixon and smith developing, and moss and manningham waiting to get their chance...that would be great

Well I wonder if the NFL will look at the 4+ game suspension Burress got from the Giants as part of a suspension.

Giants are one of the few teams that took a proactive approach to punishing their players, while not waiting for the NFL league office to react.
