Sports Radio 66, WFAN New York and Sports Radio 610 WIP Philadelphia will host a historic joint live broadcast simulcast on both stations and their respective streams, WFAN and 610WIP on Friday, January 9 from 10am-1pm to help get fans of both teams psyched up for the game. Each station will present the case for why its team will win and move on to the NFC Championship game.
The broadcast will feature WFAN’s Joe Benigno, Evan Roberts and former Pro Bowl Giants linebacker and current Giants Radio Analyst Carl Banks as well as WIP’s Anthony Gargano, Glen Macnow and former Eagle All-Pro and current WIP personality Ike Reese. It’s Broadway vs. Broad Street, the Battle of the Broads, this Friday between 10am and 1pm as both WFAN and WIP get ready for the Giants battle against the Eagles in the Divisional Playoff game.
The show will be live from Chickie’s & Pete’s at 183 U.S. Highway 130 in Bordentown, New Jersey. Located some 50 miles from Giants Stadium and over 40 miles from the WIP studios, Chickie’s & Pete’s is nearly halfway between the rival cities. This special simulcast broadcast is open to the public and can also be streamed live on their respective websites.
“I couldn’t be more pumped up for this, said WFAN’s Joe Benigno. It’s going to be a stellar show. What’s better than rolling into Eagle country with “The Killer,” Carl Banks and his two Giants Super Bowl rings?”
“This is a true rivalry. For years the teams and cities have battled for NFC East supremacy. Philadelphia is the city of champions and this is the year that Eagles prove they are the beast of the East!” said, former Eagle All-Pro and WIP personality Ike Reese.
This Sunday’s game broadcast can be heard live on Sports Radio 66, WFAN and 610 WIP at 1pm Eastern standard time.
My buddy was listening to Benigno earlier and apparently it got really heated between the two stations. Should be fun to listen to them battle it out. I thought Benigno was a Jets fan? Hey, anything for good radio, I suppose.
