The Philadelphia Eagles win over the Dallas Cowboys gives them the 6th and final seed in the playoffs. They will face the 3rd seed Minnesota Vikings, while the 5th seed Atlanta Falcons will face the 4th seed Arizona Cardinals in the Wild Card games.
The Giants and Panthers will have a first round bye. As the number one seed, the Giants play lowest seed remaining after completion of wild-card round.
The AFC is clear except for the 4th seed. Tonight’s Football Night in America game between the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers will determine that seed, who will face the Indianapolis Colts.
The Miami Dolphins beat the New York Jets, giving them the 3rd seed. They will face the Baltimore Ravens.
The Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers have first round byes.

The Eagles scare the crap out of me. I hate the Tampa Bay Bucs. I really hate them.
I didn’t think the playoff structure was that cut and dry.
If the Eagles win, we don’t play them next week? I know they like to avoid 1st round games against divisional teams, but I thought after that, it was top seed vs. bottom seed.
I think you are right Jose, I may have jumped the gun on posting the divisional playoffs match ups. I adjusted the post accordingly.
You may as well, the Vikings are going to get flayed by Philly.
Can someone please tell me how the playoff picture works. Who do the Giants play the winner of?
Giants play lowest seed remaining after completion of wild-card round.
crap so they are most likely going to face the eagles
If the Eagles beat the Giants twice at the Meadowlands, they deserve it. We shouldn’t be looking for the easy road, we’re the favorites. Can’t just walk through the playoffs and play easy competition like the Phillies did…
Thank you Jose! Any real football fan would want to play the Eagles, you guys sound like a bunch of bitches!
Oh, and Happy New Year!!!
Sorry for calling some of you bitches… I should have said little girly men. =D
