Jacobs Practices, Giants Pass On Horn

by Anthony De Rosa on December 17th, 2008 at 4:11 pm

Brandon Jacobs (knee) tried to get trainers to allow him to play last week but was unable to convince them. Jacobs said his knee is no worse than when he first suffered his injury in Week 5. Jacobs practiced today and seems more likely to start this Sunday.

Joe Horn‘s agent, Ralph Vitolo tells Mike Garafolo at the Star Ledger that Horn is headed back to Atlanta and the Giants will not be signing him, concerned about his explosiveness.

The Giants worked out a number of free agent linebackers today. Nate Harris, Matt Chatham, Rich Scanlon, and Edmund Miles.

It was at first believed that the Giants would be signing Nate Harris but it appears that is now on hold.

Derek Hagan will wear No. 80, the first Giant to have that number since Jeremy Shockey.
