  • The Giants hold a 79-66-2 record against the Eagles in the regular season, the last meeting was in Philadelphia on November 9th, which the Giants won 36-31.
  • The Giants are 15-17 against the Eagles at Giants Stadium.
  • Eli Manning threw two touchdowns in the last meeting against the Eagles, to Plaxico Burress and Kevin Boss. Brandon Jacobs ran for two touchdowns, and John Carney had field goals of 27, 26, and 28 yards for the Giants.
  • The Eagles scoring came by way of a nine-yard TD run by rookie DeSean Jackson, a TD pass of 10 yards to Jason Avant, a seven yard pass to Hank Baskett and a two yard toss to Kevin Curtis. David Akers kicked a 29-yard field goal.
  • The Giants were behind 24-20 with 6:18 left in the third quarter, when Manning appeared to have thrown an illegal forward pass, however the call was overturned and the drive continued, leading to a Giants TD that gave them a lead they would not relinquish.
  • Eli Manning was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for November. The Giants were 5-0 and Manning completed 93 of 148 passes (62.8 percent) for 1,036 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions. His passer rating was 94.9.
  • The Giants have won seven consecutive games, with their last six coming against teams with winning records. The Giants can tie the 1970 Minnesota Vikings for the all time record of consecutive wins in a season against teams with winning records with a win today.
  • Today’s honarary captain will be former Giants defensive back Jason Sehorn, who was originally a second round pick of the Giants in 1994 and played for them until 2002.
  • Strong winds of 20-25 MPH are expected today, look for both teams to lean on the running game and avoid the long pass.

Quote of the Week:

“We have tried to make it all football as it is.  That is what we enjoy – the meetings, the coming on the field and preparing for the divisional rival Philadelphia Eagles – that is what sustains us.  There is no question about that.  So we look forward to it – getting ready to play.” – Coach Tom Coughlin
