Burress Reports to Giants for Medical Treatment

By Anthony De Rosa on Dec 02, 2008, 11:38 am

Plaxico Burress arrived at Giants Stadium at 9:20 a.m this morning to receive medical treatment on the gunshot wound to his right leg and on the pre-existing hamstring injury to the same leg.

Burress was expected to be examined by the team’s medical staff and possibly meet with team officials about his future.

Burress did not appear to be limping as he entered the stadium carrying a cup.

Antonio Pierce failed to show up at the 17th Precinct station house in Midtown at noon on Monday as he was requested to and was not available for an interview when the police showed up at his residence. Two members of the Giants’ staff — Charles Way, the director of player development, and Ronnie Barnes, vice president for medical services — arrived to talk in Pierce’s absence, the police said.
