Trevor Pryce had this to say about the Giants 3 headed monster”
“I actually think that Ahmad Bradshaw ran better than Jacobs did. It’s (not) really that it’s so tough to bring either of them down, it’s just that the holes they were running through were so big,” Ravens defensive tackle Trevor Pryce said. “The holes were gaping. Gaping!”
Ummm WHAT? I think what Pryce meant to say was this “if we had surrounded Brandon Jacobs with 11 men there is a good chance he wouldn’t be tough to take down….well after 5 yards that is….and perhaps if we were all carrying knives and some mace or ether… yep then it wouldn’t be tough.”
This is beyond confusing, is Pryce really saying that after a 207 yard rushing performance it was all based on gaping holes? If this is true then I suppose I could have rushed for 100 yards and I haven’t played a competitive sport in over a decade (wow that is sad, does beer pong count?)
Yes, the Giants Oline was terrific, but on the VERY FIRST play of the game Jacobs rammed into Pryce and then bounced outside for 36 yards, exactly why didn’t Pryce bring him down if it isn’t so tough to do so, oh that’s right he was flat on his back. A few plays later Ed Reed had another shot to bring down #27 but he also failed to do so…weird. Later in the game 3 ravens had a shot to bring down Ahmad Bradshaw but they weren’t able to, until 77 yards later…and one of those would be tacklers was, you guessed it, Trevor Pryce.
Have you ever had a dream about playing pop warner again, but not re-living your youth, I mean actually playing against 10 year old kids at your current age. That’s what it looks like when Jacobs is out there and yet Ray Lewis wouldn’t even admit Jacobs was big…..oh well, hopefully they will open up some massive holes in Arizona too, because apparently these 3 backs are not tough to bring down.
