Injury Updates: Jacobs Feels Fine

By Anthony De Rosa on Nov 17, 2008, 12:50 am

As Rob Harding reported, the Giants plan to have a precautionary MRI taken on Brandon Jacobs. Jacobs was quoted on Ralph Vacchiano’s blog for the New York Daily News saying he feels fine and could have returned to the game if needed.

“I could’ve gone out there and played but we have two other backs in there and there was no need to do that,” Jacobs said. “I just landed on it. It wasn’t anything bad but it made no sense to go back out there and run on it. I could have if I had to but we have two other guys and they went out and did their thing.”

In other injury news, CB Aaron Ross has a calf strain.

RT Kareem McKenzie injured his hand but is not thought to be serious.

LB Chase Blackburn got shook up in the fourth quarter but returned to the game.
