Tom Coughlin has announced that Gerris Wilkinson is not ready to practice with a knee injury and called the news “disappointing.”

It seems like Coughlin has been down this rode with Wilkinson before. The former third rounder has had a difficult time staying on the field. With the emergence of Chase Blackburn and Bryan Kehl at the weakside, his days may be numbered.

James Butler will sit out today, but should be ready to go tomorrow.

Good news for a guy who just had tests done on his knee. Butler is not the most athletic of safeties, but plays a very sound game. He is rarely out of position, and he does not free lance, something the coaches love about him. Sammy Knight, will most likely take snaps with the first unit today.

Kevin Dockery will not practice but is showing improvement.
