According to the New York Post, Antonio Pierce was meant to ease his way back into practice, but he participated fully and will play on Sunday.
According to Newsday, the team terminated the practice-squad contract of rookie QB Andre’ Woodson and re-signed CB Rashard Barksdale to take his place.
Chase did a great job on Sunday with 10 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble, but Pierce is the captain of the defense and against the Steelers his size will be needed.
Many are speculating that Plaxico Burress might have skipped another practice, but trainers did attend to his shoulder and neck in the 49ers game. Perhaps because he did not tell them “I do whatever the f&*k I want” fox did not mention it. The cameraman did catch trainers working on him (is it just me or do cameramen/producers always seem five steps ahead announcers), but the announcers were still discussing Plaxico’s run in with Coughlin, which they replayed 4 times.
