Strahan Picks Cowboys To Win Super Bowl
Michael Strahan is making sure nobody questions his impartiality as a analyst. In his debut for Fox’s pregame show the former Giant defensive end and Super Bowl champ picked the Dallas Cowboys to win this year’s Super Bowl.
Paul Schwartz at the New York Post provides comments regarding the Cowboys pick from the Giants players.
Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce didn’t take offense.
“That’s why they hired him, to do things that are outrageous and a little bit out of the norm,. Hey, if I was a broadcaster I’d probably pick the Cowboys too. That’s the norm, that’s what everybody’s doing, just go with the flow. We just sent Mike text messages and laugh about it. We know where Mike’s heart is, at the same time he has a job to do.”
Defensive end Justin Tuck had an even bigger conspiracy theory regarding the pick.
“Give Stray credit to the fact that he didn’t say anything that was going to make it that every time they show his highlights on the Jumbotron the stadium is going to boo. I think he accomplished exactly what he wanted to get accomplished. We are sitting here talking about it and I think that is exactly what he wanted out of it. Do I really think he thinks that Dallas is going to win the Super Bowl? No, and even if he did think that, if he really thought it, I don’t think he would say it on national TV. He is a Giant at heart and he hates the Cowboys just as much as anybody else in this locker room, so for him to say that I think it has some underlying motives.”
I happen to think the Cowboys will be very tough this year, but man that is cold Michael! Looks like someones been watching too much Hard Knocks in the offseason.
