Giants and Redskins Trends
Here are some trends to keep an eye on tonight, courtesy of Gridiron Gab.
- The Redskins finished last season strong
- The G-men lost most of their home games last year
- The Redskins defeated the Giants at home last year
- The Giants no longer enjoy the services of talented veteran safety Gibril Wilson in their defensive backfield. (they do however have a not-so-secret weapon in the form of Kenny Phillips)
- The Redskins defense found their groove late last season, and now boast a secondary that is one of the NFL’s best.
Fabio at the Gridiron notes that this is a much different Giants team than the one that lost to the Redskins 22-10 last season. Giants such as WR Steve Smith and TE Kevin Boss have gained playoff tested experience and should show their progression.
The biggest question tonight will be how the Giants will fare without Michael Strahan and Osi Umenyiora.
