Rosenhaus: Lito Trade Is Coming

Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News talked with Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard. Drew has indicated that his client is on the verge of being traded.

“At least one team has made a recent trade proposal to the Eagles. The Eagles didn’t like the compensation and turned it down. I will not identify the team at this time. I think there is a very good chance Lito gets traded in the next few weeks.”

Sheppard, 27, was a first-round pick by the Eagles in 2002. In 77 games, he has recorded 234 tackles, 66 pass deflections and 17 interceptions. Lito signed a five-year, $25 million extension through the 2011 season in November of 2004.

The Eagles brought in free agent cornerback Asante Samuel this offseason, pushing Lito out of the starting role.

Bowen continues to say that he’d be surprised if Lito gets traded this year.

The Giants have always managed to beat Lito as he does not have a pick in his career against Big Blue.
