Could We See Another Simms In Giants Blue?

Rumors have been swirling that the Giants could fill their third quarterback slot with the recently-released QB Chris Simms,
according to the Inside Slant at Yahoo! Sports.
Simms, 28, is the son of former Giants great, Phil Simms. He was drafted by the Buccaneers in the third-round of the 2003 NFL Draft. In 19 career games, Simms has thrown for 3,087 games with 12 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. His best season came in 2005 after he started the final ten games of the regular season, leading the Bucs to the playoffs.

The Knicks got Patrick Ewing Jr, so its only fitting the Giants match them by signing Chris Simms.
so who do you cut to bring in Simms?
the need of a third QB is far less than outstanding special teams or depth at a number of key positions.
Cut whoever the ‘last’ running back on the roster is, a running back whose primary responsibility is special teams will be easier to come by mid season than a quarterback with NFL starting experience, should either be needed in an emergency.
