Minor Practice Squad Moves

The Giants have announced that they have cut cornerback Geoffrey Pope from their practice squad and signed cornerback Rashad Barksdale. The team also re-signed tight end Eric Butler to their practice squad, giving them eight.
Barksdale, 24, was a sixth-round draft pick by the Eagles in 2007, was waived prior to the season and claimed by the Chiefs. In six games for the Chiefs, Barksdale recorded eight tackles. He was released by the Chiefs on Saturday.
Butler, 23, went undrafted in this year’s NFL Draft, but was picked up by the Giants soon after. He failed to make the 53-man roster and was waived on Saturday.
