Reese Reaches Out To Strahan’s Agent

By Anthony De Rosa on Aug 25, 2008, 8:36 pm

Ralph Vacchiano at the New York Daily News confirms a report that Giants GM Jerry Reese reached out to Michael Strahan‘s agent about his interest in returning to the Giants.

Strahan’s agent, Tony Agnone said the discussion was very general and very preliminary and definitely didn’t involve any talks about money. Reese told Agnone to let the Giants know if and when Strahan decides he’s serious about a return.

“They reached out and they talked to us about the possibility of Strahan returning,” Agnone said. “It’s something he’s thinking about.” Agnone said Strahan “feels the ship isn’t even out of the harbor and they’re already taking on the cannons. He feels like maybe he should jump back in there.”

Strahan is vacationing in Greece and has no immediate plans to return to the United States before the end of the week at the earliest. A source close to Strahan said it wouldn’t be difficult for him to get out of his contract to work as an NFL analyst for Fox Sports.

Hat tip to Giants Football Blog’s Gary Grund for the news.
