The big news of the night was DE Osi Umenyiora, whose knee locked up while he was attempting to go in for a sack. He had to be carried off the field by two trainers, however the x-rays appeared to be negative. The Giants will have an MRI taken and re-evaluate his knee again tomorrow.
Jets quarterback Brett Ratliff tossed a 24-yard pass to WR Paul Raymond to put the Jets ahead with 6:08 remaining. Jets cornerback Drew Coleman intercepted a Andre Woodson pass with a little over a minute left to shut the door.

Favre had a touchdown pass to WR Jericho Cotchery called back on an illegal motion penalty by Favre’s former Packers teammate TE Bubba Franks. Eli had a chance at a touchdown in the late second half but was sacked on third and goal from the 7-yard line. Kicker Josh Huston, subbing for Lawrence Tynes went wide right on the field goal attempt.
DE Justin Tuck sacked Brett Favre on the second play of the game for an 8 yard loss, however the Jets defense proved to be more disrupting. The Jets had eight sacks while the Giants could only manage a pair.
