Game Notes:
- Lions head coach Rod Marinelli stated that he has planned for his starters on both sides of the ball to go about 10 plays, but could go longer if they are in the middle of a drive. He also added that all rookies will receive a good amount of playing time in the game.

- One thing to watch for in tonight’s game is the battle to be Eli Manning’s backup quarterback. More than likely, we will see the majority of time going to both David Carr and Anthony Wright. It is possible that we could see sixth-round pick Andre Woodson for a drive or two late in the fourth-quarter.

- Keep an eye out for the progress of the Giants first and second-round picks, Kenny Phillips and Terrell Thomas. As Anthony De Rosa noted earlier, Phillips has been having a tremendous camp so far and could become the starting free safety sooner than later. Thomas knows that preseason will determine how much time he sees on the field in the regular season, so he plans to take advantage of the opportunity to prove himself.
