Kenny Phillips ws a no brainer..

Thomas seemed like a bit of a reach and a gamble in the second round.. Esp. given his injury situation but hes got all the physical skills and the pedigree.

Manningham was great value for the third.. hope he stays on the straight and narrow.. Quality player who puts the pressure on Sinorice and Smith to a lesser degree – Also sets up the post Toomer situation.

I dont understand why we went linebacker 4th and fifth but i like the write ups on both players.. seems a consistent theme is defensive players who have a “mean streak” — which is good. I guess Blackburn is on notice.

Did we really have to get a QB in the 6th? I understand he was potential heisman candidate before the season but wasnt there a prospect monster DT around at that point? maybe in the high value FA market.. good value kind of a waste.. see ya J LOad

Who is the 199 pick Henderson? 6′3 and 276 DE?

All in all I give JR a B+ for addressing needs and finding value..
To bad he couldnt put together a Shockey deal.. now we have to continue to hear the rumors and distractions thru mini camps..
